Personally, truth matters to me, especially regarding ANYTHING to do with scripture. If truth doesn’t matter to you, then I can’t help you. If it does, then I’d think you’d be just as disappointed as I was, to learn that the letter “J” didn’t even exist until 1524 & the word “Jesus” wasn’t used ANYWHERE in ANY writings until the mid-1600s (not even in the 1611 King James Bible). I’ve mentioned these things numerous times, been deleted and/or blocked on here for it, too.

The truth is, our Savior was a physical Jew with a Hebrew name, not a Greco-Roman name, & certainly not a mid-1600s English version of a Greek name. Neither “Jesus” nor it’s Greek original form iesous (ee-yay-sooce) is Hebrew.

Even the Hebrew word “Yeshua” (which is never used as Messiah’s name ANYWHERE in scripture) is incorrect. It’s a latter abbreviation of a mistranslation (Yehoshua) of Messiah’s actual name (Yahoshua).

Here’s the proof, using your Strong’s concordance, you can follow along… Strong’s shows that Jesus (G2424) originates from the same Hebrew name as Joshua (H3091) in Numbers 13:16, Zechariah 3:1 (& other places). They even have at least two instances of misuse in the KJV where one is used when the other should’ve been (Acts 7:45 & Hebrews 4:8).

When you look at that Hebrew name it supposedly originated from (יהושׁע) you see that Strong’s (H3091) claims it is pronounced as “Yehoshua” (though it’s English spelling is “Jehoshua” in the KJV), which is blatantly WRONG.

Here’s why I can say that with utmost confidence… Hebrew is read from right to left. At the beginning of the Hebrew name (יהושׁע) you’ll find the short form of THE name of the Father (יהּ), which is found in many places in the OT, mainly in the Psalms (Psalm 68:4 & 135:1 come to mind) and used at the beginning and ending of hundreds of names of people and places, where Strong’s concordance (H3050) correctly states it’s pronunciation as “YAH” (though again, the KJV spells incorrectly as JAH).

Now, the last portion of the name is also found in Numbers 13:16, (הושׁע) (Strongs H1954) which the KJV spells as “Oshea” & Strong’s pronounces as “ho-shay’-ah” (Hoshea)… so, why would it be “Yehoshua” when clearly you can see “YAH” at the beginning? Even the word “Yeshua” (ישׁוּע) is butchered in its transfer from Hebrew to English. Strongs (H3442) says it’s pronounced as “Yah-shoo’-ah” (Yahshua)…so, why would that be the case, yet the long form it originated from be “Yehoshua”??? It wouldn’t.

THE Name of our Savior, the Messiah (our Salvation) sent by Yah the Father, is YAHOSHUA!

Another fact to consider: Every Hebrew name has meaning. Yahoshua means “Yah’s Salvation” as you can see this too, by just looking at the two names it’s derived from (YAH & Oshea/Hoshea).

In closing…. you have YAH (יהּ) (H3050), the short form of Yahweh (יהוה) (Strongs H3068), found thousands of times in scripture & most often substituted with the word “Lord”… and the Son, our Savior, the Messiah, Yahoshua (יהושׁע).

So, when you now say “there’s no other name but Jesus” or some other reverence to that fake name…..know that you’ve been shown the truth & choose to reject it.

For more information: Nobody in Scripture Ever Knew Jesus

By guest contributor Donovan Walker I get asked often “why does it even matter about the name?” (False name “Jesus” vs the true Hebrew name “Yahoshua”) Or I simply get told “it doesn’t really matter” (about the name, the Sabbath day, or many other things) . . .
