\u201cNot everyone who says to Me, \u2018Lord, Lord,\u2019 will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, \u2018Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?\u2019 And then I will declare to them, \u2018I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.\u2019\u201d Matthew 7:21-23<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ANSWER: NOTHING<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These are christians in this scene, as they are calling Messiah \u201cLord,\u201d and they are reminding Him that they did many things in His \u201cname\u201d (even though most don’t know what that is, and even when they’re told what it is, they don’t care). They remind Him that they prophesied, performed many wondrous things, and even thought demons were letting them cast them out (that’s just how cunning Satan is).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But, Yahoshua the Messiah tells them to depart from Him, for He never knew them. In the Greek, the phrase \u201cpractice lawlessness\u201d actually means \u201cengage in unrighteousness.\u201d Who are the righteous and who are the unrighteous? From where does righteousness come?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These folks, even when standing before Messiah, think they were saved\u2014they made their decisions, prayed their sinner’s prayers, and \u201caccepted Christ into their hearts.\u201d But, He tells them to depart from Him, because He never knew (relationship) them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They are not His, according to Romans 8:9. They only thought they were His. They told everyone they were His. They deluded themselves into believing they were His. But, they were never TOLD by the Holy Spirit they were His.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What a sad day lies ahead for so many who have believed the lies about salvation being something one possesses because of his own decision\u2014the lies that, at the very moment one makes a decision, or prays a very sincere prayer, the Holy Spirit indwells him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oh, what a sad, horrific, day that will be for so many! The preachers they believed told them they were saved because they came forward, cried, and said all the right words. And, then they cleaned up their lives, and started living right. They became pillars in the \u201cchurch.\u201d They were the kind of people that everyone KNEW would be in heaven\u2014they were just so kind and moral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But, \u201cDepart from Me, I never knew you\u201d is what they will hear\u2014just like the rich young ruler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Holy Spirit never told them they were children of Yah\u2014they simply declared it themselves, but people don’t have that power or authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Don’t be one of them. The time is short, but there is still time. Look to the Passover\u2014the preparation to be made righteous. Don’t be found unrighteous simply because you were not willing to consider that what you’ve been taught by christianity is not the truth, because it’s not. It’s a counterfeit of the truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
