Ponder this: the same place where you were taught that Christ was born on Christ-mass, died on Good Friday, and rose again on Easter (ALL of which are false), also taught you how someone is born again. Seriously. Ponder that.
The “unlearning” is often the hardest part.
It is likely the organization that told you those false things about Messiah’s life, death, and resurrection, also taught you that going forward, or praying a prayer, or making a decision, or changing things about your life, or getting baptized in water, or reading and believing what is stated in the scriptures—that doing any of those things means you’re born again.
Sadly, none of those things is what it means to be born again, and often, when those who teach such things learn what it actually means to be born again, they reject the truth outright. 1 John 5:10 states that such people are “unbelievers” in Yah’s eyes. It doesn’t matter how good they are, how “spiritual” they seem, or even if they are pastors, teachers, or deacons.
One is only born again when he is indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and when one is indwelt by the Holy Spirit, he is told that he is Yah’s child. Man cannot declare his own justification; the Holy Spirit MUST do that.
Spiritual reproduction occurs in the same way that physical reproduction does, as the physical is a mirror of the spiritual—life is transmitted from one who has life. So, those who would tell you that you can be born again by reading the bible, would also have to believe that reading a biology book can get a girl pregnant.
