HAS GOD CHANGED?

By guest contributor Chris Sabine

You hear it said all the time that God does not change. That statement is correct as it plainly says in scripture that Yah (which is His name as opposed to a title) does not change. So, if He does not change, then why would He all of a sudden find worship derived from paganism while attaching His name to it acceptable? There are severe consequences for such an act.

First of all, John 4:24 says that worship must be done in spirit and in truth. Celebrating Him by the exchanging of gifts, hunting easter eggs, gathering for a sunrise service, placing an ash cross on your forehead, doing hail Mary’s, eating a saltine cracker while drinking a thimble of grape juice, or passing out candy at a trunk or treat or a carnival for Christ (Halloween) is NOT IN TRUTH.

Secondly, it is attaching Him to something that is false, worthless, and idolatrous, which is exactly what taking His name in vain means.

Thirdly, the Holy Spirit will not have any part of such an abominable offense.

Malachi 3:6 explains why He doesn’t change. It is so the sons of Jacob (Y’Israel) do/did not come to an end. The bride of the Messiah is named Y’Israel, and is to whom the new covenant is given (Hebrews 8:10).

Malachi 3:6

“For I, the Lord, do not change; therefore you, the sons of Jacob, have not come to an end.”

Hebrews 8:10

“For this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares Yah. I will put My laws in their minds and inscribe them on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they will be My people.”

Paul also warns believers of a great falling away (apostacy), telling them to keep the traditions they were taught. 2 Thess 2:3 and 2 Thess 2:15

2 Thess 2:3

No one is to deceive you in any way! For it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction.

2 Thess 2:15

So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold on to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us.

Paul most certainly would not have taught, much less observed, the sun god’s birthday, hunted easter eggs, prayed for Odin’s protection, wept for Tammuz, or took part in the wild and unbridled love ritual.

How many of Yah’s traditions or ordained days are you taught in your “church” buildings on SUNday and Wednesday? How many of the pagan days are observed?

Let me guess . . . the Almighty Creator and arbiter of truth just all of a sudden changed?
