Reading through the book of Job, it is clear that when the Almighty speaks directly to individuals, He most often does so in dreams. Joseph says in Genesis 40:8 that the interpretation of dreams belongs to Yah—not “some dreams,” but dreams. If Yah owns the interpretation of dreams, then dreams themselves belong to Him. And, Elihu is clear in Job 33 that the dreams are for warning and instruction.
Dreams reveal things to us about ourselves, either affirming our righteousness, warning of possible consequences for choices, or telling us to continue on the path we’re headed. The Holy Spirit has never changed. What He did in the days of Joseph and Job, He still does today.
The Holy Spirit speaks to us in dreams because it is the only method of communication that Satan cannot counterfeit either by mimicking things that the Holy Spirit sometimes does, or by deluding us into declaring things that are merely borne of our own carnal flesh—our own thoughts and emotions. Satan dwells in the spirit realm, just as our conscious thoughts do.
His demons have access to those thoughts to try to influence us, but they do not have access to our subconscious thoughts, and that’s why scripture teaches that Yah will instruct and warn people in their dreams.
I see it everyday—folks declaring that they are saved because of things they’ve done, prayers they’ve prayed, decisions they’ve made, rituals they’ve followed (“accepting someone into their hearts”), or feelings they have about the matter. Because their flesh longs for eternal life, they believe the christian lies that they can merely declare that they’re saved, and then use their feelings, their desires, their longing to identify with the Father through doing things they think please Him, as evidence that they ARE saved.
They sadly believe that saying, “I know that I know that I know that I know,” enough times, will make it so. Most often, they state that because of how they feel, and they feel that way because of something they’ve read or have been told by another human. Neither of those are how salvation occurs.
In the adoption process, the child and the adoptive parent will usually get to know each other before the child is ever adopted. They establish a relationship with each other, and the child learns the family’s traditions. But, the child is not legally adopted until the decree has been signed and sealed.
When that occurs, the parent will tell the child that he is the parent’s child. Christianity falsely teaches that the desire for relationship alone IS salvation, because many in christianity don’t actually know what it means to be born again. Most think that it is man’s decision. It is not. It is a result of man’s belief—it is his belief that makes him ABLE to be born again.
Yah tells His adopted children when the adoption decree has been sealed—he confirms that they are His children by telling them. And, scripture is clear exactly HOW He communicates with people in a manner that Satan cannot counterfeit. Peter declared it on the very day that the Holy Spirit was poured out as the New Covenant, and the bride was established on the earth. Acts 2:17.
