Now, understand, physically, my heritage is mostly Irish, Scottish, and English. But, just as those who falsely think that the difference between “fake Jews” and “real Jews” is a physical matter, or the false notion that the physical people living in the physical land of Israel are “God’s people,” to know who the true Jew is, one must understand it spiritually.
The distinction between the physical Jews and the physical Gentiles was physical circumcision and the clean vs. unclean laws that kept them separated. Messiah’s redemptive work revealed the real substances of those foreshadows, which ended the law’s physical separation of both groups. As Paul said, physical circumcision is nothing—it was a symbol of something else, which is spiritual (1 Corinthians 7:19). And, he explains in Ephesians 2 that the laws keeping the two groups separate (clean vs. unclean) were the barrier that Messiah broke down.
So, the meanings actually being spiritual, and being revealed in Messiah, the true Jew is any person whose heart has been circumcised—it has nothing to do with physical circumcision (Romans 2:29). And, the real substance of Abraham’s descendants are those who have been given the Holy Spirit (Galatians 3:28-29). The difference between “fake Jews” and “real Jews” is ONLY spiritual. The physical has nothing to do with it.
Moreover, christianity being a counterfeit of the true faith, being a christian is not what it means to be born again—in fact, in most cases, it is a contributing factor to folks NOT being born again, as its false teachings about salvation often lead people who have never received the Spirit’s confirmation to think they are saved (because of things they’ve spoken or done).
So, one can either cling to traditions of men, and claim membership in the man-made club called “christianity,” or he can choose the truths of the Holy Spirit, and seek to receive the covenant by belief in Messiah Yahoshua and confessing Him before men. One can embrace Easter, or identify with Passover. He can call himself a christian, or he can wait for the Holy Spirit to call him a Jew.
