OPEN HOSTILITY TO THE SABBATHS

When a christian displays open hostility to the Sabbaths (weekly and annual), it demonstrates a number of things about him—most important is animosity toward the Creator and His Son. Moreover, it shows a complete lack of understanding of what the Sabbaths are.

In Ezekiel 22, the Creator makes clear that there is a difference between His laws and His Sabbaths. We see the same in Nehemiah 9:14, where the Israelites were confessing their sins, and they said, “So You made known to them Your holy Sabbath, and laid down for them commandments, statutes and law, through Your servant Moses.”

The Sabbaths are an entire system, and the whole of that system (the body) is all about Messiah Yahoshua. It points directly to specific doctrines about Him, and it also reveals the Father’s prophetic calendar.

Clearly, Yah sees a difference between His laws and His Sabbaths, as He says in Ezekiel 20:11-12, “And I give to them My statutes, and My judgments I caused them to know, which the man who doth [know them], lives by them. MOREOVER ALSO I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know that I, Yahweh, sanctifies them.”

Most christians have no understanding at all about the true purpose of the law, what law is written on the hearts and minds of true believers, and what laws were abolished in Messiah. And, lumping the Sabbaths together with the law of Moses further shows that ignorance.

When a christian hears something he thinks sounds Jewey, and then claims that the matter is “Old Testament” or “the law,” he shows that he has no spiritual understanding, and that he thinks the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit have all changed, and that, what the Father gave as a sign between Him and His children is no longer valid.

And, often, christians base that lack of understanding on christianity, which was created by rejecting those things as mundane and archaic. Such thinking is prima facie evidence that one does not actually know the Father, but merely knows a religion of men.

A person who believes such things does exactly what christianity set out to do—separate the Father from those things He calls His, and in so doing, shows that he is actually devoid of the Spirit of Truth. He attempts to be a member of Yah’s house under his own terms, but that is not legitimate membership in His house. It’s a counterfeit membership, reflective of the man-declared salvation often taught in christianity.

If you claim to love the Son, then you must also love the Father. And if you claim to love the Father, you will embrace those things He calls His, and openly share them as an identification of His family. Open animosity against those things, and accusations that one who bears the family sign is a “false teacher,” or “worships the shadow,” are just clear indications of spiritual ignorance, borne of a false belief system that was invented to counterfeit Yah’s truth.

One of the most blatant displays of the false teachings of christianity about Yah’s Sabbaths is the fact that christians who disregard the Sabbaths cannot explain why Paul observed them, and taught them to the Gentile converts, which is what scripture clearly shows us.

Of course, a common erroneous assertion made by some christians is that Paul only observed the Sabbaths because he was a physical Jew, but we see him teaching the Sabbaths to the Gentiles (1 Corinthians 5:7-8, 1 Corinthians 11:2, 2 Thessalonians 2:15), and we know that he said that, because of Messiah’s work of redemption, there is no distinction between physical Jew and physical Gentile (Galatians 3:28-29, Romans 2:29).

So, it is plainly error to say that honoring Yah’s Sabbaths has anything to do with physical race or religion.

To teach that the Sabbaths are no more is to call Paul a false teacher. And, if Paul is a false teacher, then there is no hope, no salvation, and no eternal life, for he was the apostle to the Gentiles—ordained to teach how the physical foreshadow (the Ten Commandments given to physical Y’isra-el) is only a picture—a representation—of the spiritual real substance (the covenant of the Holy Spirit given to spiritual Y’isra-el).

To call Paul a false teacher is to call the Holy Spirit a false teacher, for He has taught me nothing different from what He taught Paul. And, again, if the Holy Spirit is a false teacher, then we are all doomed.
